Coaching and Supervision

RD1st COACHING

We offer coaching as a one-off longer-session (3-4 hours) or over a series. A coach supports and challenges the coachee, enabling them to identify and clarify their own goals and develop their own plans to achieve them. The coach neither advises nor guides, focusing instead on creating a productive, focused space for the coachee to explore and pursue their own thinking. Practically, coaching takes the form of a structured conversation or coaching ‘session’ in which the coachee is encouraged to think for themselves through attentive listening, skilled questioning and sometimes exercises.

Coaching is ideal for personal development, overcoming ‘stuckness’, dealing with issues and challenges, increasing confidence, changing and/or developing direction. Contact us to explore options for 1-2-1 coaching or contact a coach directly through the ‘Who We Are’ page.

DIRECTORY OF COACHES (Trained with RD1st)

As the UK’s specialist training and development company for coaches in the arts, we also maintain a directory of RD1st trained coaches. If you are looking for a coach, it can be useful to choose a few people you feel drawn to and then to arrange a ‘chemistry call’ to check for best fit and to find out more about their practice e.g. costs, experience, their philosophy, specialisms, whether they have regular supervision, insurance etc.

Please note, we have listed coaches in relation to when they completed their training, with the newer coaches appearing at the top of the list and the coaches with greater experience, further down the list.

We review the list every two years.

We hope you find this directory a helpful way to connect with RD1st-trained coaches whose style and experience feel right for you.
