Coaching Skills for Leadership – an introduction

Our popular introductory course for those wishing to develop a coaching style of leadership. Ideal for those managing people or working in collaboration.
A coaching style of leadership is about learning to facilitate others to come up with their own solutions. The leader aims to develop the problem-solving muscle of teams, rather than being the one who solves the problems themselves, thereby building greater capacity and engagement in those they work with. This course covers the principles of coaching; active listening skills; effective enquiry; the GROW model of coaching and an introduction to Action Learning.

Introduction to Group Coaching 

For those with some experience of coaching, an opportunity to refresh and build on core skills using the RD1st Action Learning model. The course includes a recap on core coaching skills; the form, principles and uses of Action Learning; the role of the facilitator and common issues in facilitation of group coaching; creating your own Group and several ‘practice’ rounds of group coaching.

Action Learning Facilitation: 
The RD1st team can also act as an external Facilitator of RD1st Action Learning Sets. 
 
One to One Coaching: Deb Barnard, Isabel Mortimer, Emma Haughton & Claire Antrobus offer coaching either as a one off long-session (3-4 hours) or over a series. Ideal for personal development, overcoming 'stuckness', dealing with issues and challenges, increasing confidence, changing and/or developing direction. Click sofa for more details.
